Sweet and Sour Turkey

  • 1 pkg (8oz) Green Giant Harvest-Fresh Frozen Cut Green Beans

  • 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar

  • 2 tbs corn starch

  • 1/3 cup vinegar

  • 2 cans (8oz) chunk pineapple in juice, drained (reserve 1/3 cup liquid

  • 1 tbs margarine

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked cubed turkey or chicken

  • 1 cup cherry tomato halves

  • 2 cups hot cooked brown or regular rice

Cook green beans as directed on package; drain. In medium saucepan, combine brown sugar and corn starch. Stir in vinegar, reserved pineapple liquid, and margarine. Cook until sauce boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Stir in pineapple chunks, turkey (or chicken), tomato halves, and green beans. Continue to cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally. Serve over hot cooked rice.

Yield: 4 Servings.
