- ¼ cup honey
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
- ½ pound pecan halves (2
cups) use the
- 2 teaspoons sugar
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Stir together honey, pepper,
salt and allspice, then add pecans, tossing to coat well.
Spread pecans in 1 layer in a shallow (1-inch-deep) baking pan
and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in middle over for 15 minutes,
then stir pecans and bake for 3 to 5 minutes more. Watch
carefully to prevent burning.
quickly, transfer to sheet for wax paper or parchment paper to
cool and, working quickly, separate pecans with a fork while
still warm. Serve at room temperature.
