Corn Soup

  • 2 cups corn cut from cob and cobs scraped

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 cups milk

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp white pepper

  • 2 tbs butter or margarine

  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

  • chopped green onions

Combine corn and water in heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes, stirring often. Add milk, sugar, salt, pepper, and butter. Heat thoroughly. Stir in bacon. Pour into bowls and garnish with chopped green onions.

Yield: 4 Servings.
